I'm happy with the High school I went to.It was a great school. The
school I went to from 5th through 8th grade was the right one for me
too...I could have been much happier there though. The way I see I see
it now is,there were just too many issues that I wasn't dealing
with...I'm thankful to be working on the issues now though...

Really? I hated my high school. Though to be fair.. I made a few
acquaintances while I was there, none of whom I speak to anymore.
Good to hear your getting on with your issues though. I'm still not
sure what all mine are, but good luck with it.

I was fairly miserable, but even at the time I realized there
were many schools that were much worse. We had several old-time
pre-psychiatric state non-liberal (in the pejorative sense) teachers.
I hate to think of being in H.S. now. Glad I'm not.

I hated high school. I was severely depressed and didn't know it, I thought
everyone felt about me the same way I did about myself. I felt like a sleep
deprived zombie most of the time, and was just there.
The second part of my life is a lot better though, with the new meds that
are coming out now. I actually feel somewhat "normal".

When some loud braggart tries to put me down
And says his school is great,
I tell him right away, "Now, what's the matter, buddy?
Ain't you heard of my school? It's number one in the state!"
So be true to your school, now,
Just like you would to your girl or guy!
Be true to your school, now,
And let your colors fly!
Be true to your school!
I got a letterman's sweater with a letter in front
I got for football and track.
I'm proud to wear it now when I cruise around
The other parts of the town. I got a decal in back
So be true to your school, now,
Just like you would to your girl or guy!
Be true to your school, now,
And let your colors fly!
Be true to your school!
On Friday we'll be jaked up on the football game,
And I'll be ready to fight!
We're gonna smash 'em now! My girl will be working
On her pom-poms now, and she'll be yelling tonight!
So be true to your school, now,
Just like you would to your girl or guy!
Be true to your school, now,
And let your colors fly!
Be true to your school!
Rah! Rah! Fah! Be true to your school!
Rah! Rah! Fah! Be true to your school!
Rah! Rah! Fah! Be true to your school!
Rah! Rah! Fah! Be true to your school!

I choose to be less of a product of my environment than you. It
nevertheless is interesting to hear your point of view. If I
cared what they thought of me at high school, it is lost in a sea
of other concerns. I was naughty, it was fun...

That's one of my regrets,not having more fun...but I guess it's
never too late...The only problem is that it's harder to break rules
when you're an adult.I didn't break enough rules as a kid and
teenager...

Maybe it's simply that you worry too much about being good. Being
a good human is not about feeding others anymore than it is about
being fed. Being a good human is about realizing your potential
and it is never too late for that. Having fun is not as much fun
as it sounds. Being happy (or using my own word, 'content') is
about enriching yourself and allowing others to enjoy that
enrichment. Discovery is all about looking, not knowing the
answers beforehand...

Better late than never.
