Object: HNY! / Wellbutrin & um, other 'drugs'.
Happy New Year (HNY) everyone! And I do sincerely hope that everyone's new
year IS indeed a HAPPY one. I echo everyone elses opinions (ASD posters as
well as RL friends and acquaintances) that 2003 did indeed, without a
shadow of a doubt, suck hardcore *****. Personally speaking, easily the worst
year of my life.
I have high hopes for 2004 though. Although, not too high since I've always
believed that setting high hopes and goals for oneself ultimately leads to
a much dreadful feeling of worthlessness when you don't achieve them, as
compared to having success with something not as high up on your list of
priorities. Right now I'm doing laundry, haven't done it in over a month.
So that's a success for me... for today.
I am happy (well, figuratively speaking) to report that since my last post
around Christmas, I've since started on Wellbutrin SR (100mg). While I
don't necessarily feel any better (if anything, it's bumping me further
down before it starts building me back up), I have faith that in time I'll
be able to live some kind of a 'normal' life again.
I mentioned in my last post that I came to a very grim revelation about
myself after smoking a LOT of weed. While I don't think I'll ever quite be
the pothead as I was over the last few months, I am wondering whether
anyone has any experience or opinions about using an antidepressant
(Wellbutrin SR, specifically), and indulging in some 'party favors' every
once in a while.
I mentioned to my doctor (who obviously prescribed the Wellbutrin) that I
did indulge every so often and he didn't mention anything about interaction
between the two drugs, or anything of the sort, so I can't help but think
that every once in a while can't be necessarily bad for you. I know it
probably won't help, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has tried this
or knows something about it.
Thanks!
- Shawn.

My dr is thinking of mixing wellbutrin with ritalin to give it a boost
because the wellbutrin's not working anymore.
