Well at least you're maintaining a good sense of humor. I won't
attack you but will do what I can to help Jane, sorry if that
implicates you or accuses you of something you did not do. I think
you should worry about a hospital visit if this is affecting you in
that way or maybe avoid ASD for a few days. Whatever happened, it's
not worth another painful episode in your life. It took you a long
time before even posting again so just don't start getting into
aggresive exchanges, especially with someone who everyone is going to
go out of their way to defend.
I interperet your unacceptable behaviors and outbursts over the last
couple months as just mental illness. When I was drinking I had
little control over my actions and I would sabotage everything. And I
also hurt the people in my life I loved the most. I think you're a
good person with a legitimate condition and I'm sure you cringe at
your behavior and cruel tactics in moments of clarity.
If you do know the real story behind the whole AOL drama just be
mature and email Jane and explain. At least offer to pay whatever you
can afford to ease her burden, you know she's more than fair. Even if
it's got nothing to do with you and it's another ***** AOL billing
scam which is very likely, offer to pitch in since it was in offering
you support that AOL got her card number to begin with.
Now, I thought you were off to Utah...careful he's got guns.

it's notoriously hard to cancel AOL, although i learned that you just have
to be demanding with them. in any event, i will give Jane what is due Jane
(including x% simple). that's the least i can do.
the irony is that i don't like AOL to start with (long story). and after
their attitude with me, i will never be a customer again.
i do have to set up some filters on my nephews' computers. that's going to
be a pain in the *****.

Well I'm sorry to hear that. At some point, you just gotta let stuff
go. I hate to say it, but it is just a usenet newsgroup. I mean, yeah,
we're all real human beings here, and good/bad stuff happens. But if
it's getting to you that much, you always have the option of clicking
the x at the top right of your newsreader. Or powering off your pc if
that's what it takes. I don't see how it's worth that much frustration.
I know you have other issues to deal with, just giving my $.02 and one
possible angle to view this, that's all. He's pissed me off too, but
it's not worth fighting. Plus you gotta admit he looks damn fine in
fishing gear.
