slunky'll get you going, but to change active x settings, go to Internet
Options, then Advanced, scroll down to Security, the settings for active x
are there

This might work. Go into IE and get to that Security tab that I told you
about before. The one with Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites. This time
you want to try and change the Local Intranet settings. So choose that,
and then choose Custom Level... When the next window pops up, set all
the options with ActiveX to Enable. Well, maybe leave "Download unsigned
ActiveX controls" set to Disable.
This might work. If it doesn't I'll try to think of something else.

When you removed all those sites did you do it from inside IE, or did
you delete them straight from the registry? If you did it from the
registry did you make a backup or do you have System Restore turned on?
One of those trusted entries must have been for the localhost, which is
why it's denying you access now. Did you try the directions humble.life
posted? That's what I tried to explain, but if that's what you were
telling me has changed, then I'm not sure what you can do to get it back
to normal.

Sometimes that good ol' whack is what's needed (like reinstalling). I
get the same warning too (using IE browser) but I'm usually allowed
access. I check out the info. and certification on apps like Active-X
if I'm asked if I want to download it. Flash players and the like can
be a pain in the *****.

It's give and take. If you dig the games, you'll put up with the
inconvienience.
