Object: I almost threw up in public.....
I was in the supermarket and had to just stand there, in the middle of
the isle, while the nausea just hit me. It had been coming and going
all afternoon but I seriously almost threw up several times while I was
just standing there trying to breathe through it.
Thankfully I didn't end up embarrassing myself in public. After
standing there breathing for a few minutes I was ok again. Thankfully I
was on my way to the checkouts anyway, so I could just pay and leave.
Ugh. This anxiety has got to end soon.

I did throw up in public once. I was eating a pizza, and threw it up all
over the table without any warning. I went to clean myself up, and when
I got back found my wife had had to pay, since we were being thrown out;
the only time I've been thrown out of anywhere.
Even before we'd left I had a raging migraine. It's the only time I've
got beyond nausea with it. I was half-blind by the time my wife got me
back to the hotel.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

Lol, not unless it's an immaculate conception! I haven't had a partner
for over 2 years :(
Unfortunately it's just anxiety. I've had bad nausea twice before. The
first time was anxiety, the second time was gallstones (gall bladder was
removed so it can't be that).

Thankfully I didn't end up embarrassing myself in public. After

I had an interesting event driving in traffic at 60 kph and throwing
up into a towel, which luckily was there. Centre lane, traffic each
side of me, so gotta keep driving. I was in my 4x4 so don't think
the car drivers saw it, if there had been a bus or high vehicle by
the side of me, urrr ummmm.

Mine was something wrong I ate for lunch, then driving home
from work. Hope all goes well for you.
Yeah, it's not nice having something like that happen.
Once had a spot on my face from a zit/scratch or somesuch
that would not stop bleeding, and I needed to conduct a job
interview. I think that was a little more stressfull. Luckily it did
stop bleeding in time.

Related, something I seriously don't like is people all around
me. Are people going to breed themselves out of existence?
Whether on the road, in the supermarket, or wherever,
people around me tend to freak me out.
Instant queue forms if you even *think* of taking a step
towards the shop checkout counter. Stuck in traffic all
the time .... the list is endless.
I just avoid going out to anyplace now. I can't stand it,
always always always someone in your way.

How did you feel after you got home, Kylie? Did the nausea
continue?

Hi Gayle. The nausea comes and goes, but not to the point of dry
retching as I was at the supermarket. It's ok at the moment, but it
keeps coming back. I've been having episodes of dizziness and nausea
for almost a week now. I saw my GP a few days ago re the dizziness and
he couldn't find anything wrong.
As I said to Punk, pregnancy is impossible. I've had severe nausea in
the past which finally resolved once I started seeing my first
psychologist and dealing with some of my anxiety.

Are you still seeing your psychologist.
I'm unable to see mine as she was funded by Aust Post.

I still see my psychologist and psychiatrist. I see both this week.
If you still require treatment then you should either appeal any
decision to terminate your entitlements to it under Workers
Compensation, or you should find a low cost clinic and pay for it
yourself. I really don't think it's a good idea for you to go without
treatment Lynne.

My stomach is definitely an organ of emotional expression
and there were a few times when I carried a plastic bag in
my pocketbook to ease the fear of puking on the floor in
public. I never used it but do think it sometimes helped put
a lid on anxiety. Stress alone would certainly be enough to
produce those symptoms, imo, but I also wonder if it's
another sign that you're ready to "purge" some of the
emotional history.

Well, I want to believe that the therapy you're involved in
now will help ease things up, Kylie. I still get feelings of
anxiety-related nausea sometimes, but ya know what? I'm
kinda grateful for it because it acts as a reminder for me
to recommit to some stress management techniques that have
worked well for me in the past.
