you made it through the first 24 hours. i have found that if i can
make it through the first 24 hours of a life altering trauma, i can
make it through the rest of my life. time is magical.
time to tell yourself you've made it this far. is it time yet to stop
regretting what has happened and start the journey forward again?
i believe that while it doesn't always "feel" like it, moving on is
actually a choice. a therapist told me that it's not what happens to
us that defines the rest of our lives, but what we tell ourselves
about what has happened. if we negative self-talk, our experience
will remain negative. if we can find something positive to focus on
and relay that message to ourselves, we can recover more quickly.
i'm convinced this won't be the end of you. i'm convinced you will
grow from this and move back into your life. you will have to take
all the time you need to realize that yourself. but if you tell
yourself you won't recover, your chances of recovery from this trauma
will be greatly lessened. maybe you don't want to hear all this now,
but i think it's time you did.
all the best to you,
denise

you're talking to us here. you're learning about yourself. like a rebirth
and discovery. i'd like to see you angry about ex. it would be normal and
healthy. and correct! two things. she's done some bad that's slowing down
your healing. the right amount of "accountability" should go back to her.
in the meantime, you're in the deepest of the passage. kinda like post
surgery and still getting out of the brain fog. you're searching and
asking. a sign of being very alive!
