Object: I feel dirty watching "reality" shows
Seeing people at their worst, most cutthroat, deceptive, do
anything to win, destroy all competitors, etc. I don't
understand the fascination with it. After watching The
Apprentice, I feel I need to take a long bath. There's a
reason my TV seldom moves from Comedy Central.

I just think those shows are such garbage...I have to admit I'm a
bit of a snob when it comes to the commercial tv shows, music and
movies that are shown...

Jimmy Kimmel [Elmer Higgins, Terrence Catheter, etc] has to be one of the
funniest humans on the planet.

This seems strange. That is the idea that reality tv shows suck, but
things like Crank Yankers or The Man Show are good?
I'd put The Apprentice above those kinds of shows any day. How much more
comedy do you need than watching a pack of catty women, or Sam being such a
neurotic weasel?

I can't explain it. Maybe it's the difference between a watching a
deliberately created 1-dimensional character [a puppet or a cartoon] and
pitting actual people against each other in a bloodless variation of a
gladiator battle royale.

I have to agree, I dont like reality tv shows. I figure I live in reality,
when I watch tv I want to escape from it. But lately all tv has been this
massive spate of Reality TV, or gardening shows, or home renovation shows.
So I dont watch tv anymore.

I love Comedy Central. At work one of my tv's is always there. I make my
patrons watch a large assortment of shows... now i just wish we got cartoon

well yes, but it's a bit reluctantly. Although, they have mostly
cleaned up the commercials playing during ST. So that helps.
