i got another Xmas gift today... |
a new front door. i'm so excited! i've been wanting a "texas" style front
door ever since we built this texas style limestone house 9 years ago. my
hubby currently works for a milwork company and has access to such things,
and he found the perfect one today. it's a beautiful mahogany wood solid
core door with 2 long rectangular pieces of 3 layered beveled glass in it
(from the mid point up), and there is a texas star in each piece of glass.
my hubby still has to finish the door (it needs to be stained and sealed)
and we've got to get new hardware for it (i want a castiron looking door
knob), but it's going to be AWESOME!!! when it's finished, i'll take a
photo of it and post it.
i'm so excited!

the glass is like the one in the door shown under the "rio grande"
collection except it is in 2 rectangular pieces. the door itself is most
like the one shown under the "bali collection."
that's as close as i can get for now. :)

i remember choosing our front door when we re-built our house.
we had to go cheaper on some of the other stuff we put into
the house to budget it, but i got the door i wanted. i
understand how important it is.
i'm looking forward to pics.
