i don't hate sleeping. i just rarely do it all at night. if i

I've been up for nearly an hour, and I'm ready to go back to bed. Sleep
is under-rated by those who can do it.

god, i hope not. i have the kids at home tomorrow. they'll

hmpf. I'm on a hours-asleep reduction campaign
I cannot escape. I gotta make my stand...

it's 2 am here. about time to turn off the computer and read=20

hour or 6, but i will fall asleep.

I'll nibble a couple of ounces of smoked salmon and eat
a previously segmented Cameo apple, after I've taken
my dose of stuff. usually kicks me off to sleep, even
yes, I will fall asleep, too. we have that commonality...
wow on a big-ol stick with a plate of bisuits and gravy!

My record for sleep, (experienced during the summer of '95), is 24
hours. It followed about ten hours of extreme physical exertion in
which I was attempting to make a piece a piece of machinery work
properly. During the zombiefest which followed, I woke, for a minute
or two, three or four times (enough to orient myself, and realize that
more sleep was necessary), then dropped like a stone back into
unconsciousness.
It sure was a strange feeling when I finally woke up for good. The day
that wasn't...

What are you doing up, Lisa? Go to bed. :)
Actually, I read just today (in yet another publication) that if you
are laying in bed and not falling asleep, it is better to go somewhere
else and wait 'til you get do get drowsy, then go back to bed. That
way you don't associate bed with the place where you lay waiting in
frustration to fall asleep. (Heard this s#^@ years ago [they call it
"sleep hygiene"] and I would imagine you have too...
To me, during my periods of insomnia, WHERE I waited to get drowsy
never seemed to make much of a difference, and I never developed any
animosity for my beloved sleep-spot. During those days, sleep, though
it contained dreams which were less-than-enchanting reflections of my
ugly days, was the ONLY peace I experienced. Throughout most of my
years of depression, I have experienced hypersomnia when not forced to
waken and go to work. On weekends, I slept twelve hours each night,
both Saturday and Sunday. Upon waking, I usually felt groggy and
grumpy, and sometimes took an afternoon nap. Highly productive
weekends? You bet!
Patience
P.S. I wanted to correct some misinformation I stated last time
regarding Provigil. On my last reading of the "little print" sheets, I
realized that it was blood-pressure that was barely, or not at all
affected, and not heart rate.

when i can't sleep, i always feel like i'm on the verge of
sleeping, any minute. i don't want to get up, because i might
fall asleep if i stay in bed. on days or nights when i do
manage to sleep more than a couple hrs at a time, it's
somewhere between 10 and 15 hours. i'm just dead out. then i
still need my afternoon nap.
