It would be wonderful if he became the next president... It's a lot
of fun talking with anti
Bush people on the phone... this interesting, vivacious woman just
kept going on and on about how terrible Bush is...
I love talking with people like that, though you have to be careful
about how you respond. you're not supposed to express your opinions
when conducting a survey...

If I'm brutally honest, I haven't been following the American
elections because I'm in England, however I've listened to a couple of
his speeches and already am beginning to think that he could be good
for America.
I liked his belief about change, because I think both America and
England need to change, particularly in regards to the Iraq war and
their handling of Islamic extremists, although I think it could be
both a blessing and a curse turning the white house into a black
house.
I'm no racist at all, however I personally think that having a black
man in the white house might be the kind of fuel that some people need
to "have something extra to protest about" as it were. I personally
think that even if it's not at Obama's command, a portion of the new
generation of black people might come to see this as a signal to stir
up trouble with it. In regards to white supremacists and black
supremacists, I think it could stir up the hornet's nest at a scale we
couldn't possibly think of now.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't be treated as equal, but people some
don't like change especially on a touchy subject like race. Obama has
referred to his race before, so even he isn't blind to it. All I'm
saying is that organizations like the KKK aren't either, so be
prepared for possible riots, protests and more terrorism in my
opinion. I know it'd be a shame because he himself seems like a good,
charismatic guy.
