my lawnmower always does that, then I'm too lazy to take the mower over
to the garage and fill it so I try a mid-lawn refueling and wind up
spilling gas and killing grass.
I'm gonna go get a job with the military working the mid-air refueling
booms. Spray gas all over the side of a B-52.

i do the same thing but i usually fill it before i start now ,
and then its enough to mow the front , then i fill it again to do the back ,
but i fogot to fill it last fall when i stopped using it and ,
i never had enough snow this year until now to put the plow on and use it ,
so i forgot it was empty and so was the gas can

I had an absolutely *ancient* mower, that used to sip fuel. You could
mow the yard 4 times before filling up. It finally died a violent
internal engine part failure kind of death. So I picked up the cheapest
unit Sears had. Now obviously tiny mower engine technology can only have
improved over the last 25 years, yet this newer mower has about the same
size tank and will only mow the yard 1.5 times per fill.
I guess Briggs & Stratton just can't make a 1 cylinder engine as well
these days as they could a generation ago.

or maybe more horse power eats more gas ,
i started out with one of those electric ones and 200 feet of extention cord
,
but that got to be way too much work , then i got the tractor ,
cause it does so many jobs all in one

I might be a "hot rod" compared to the previous mower. It seems to get
bogged down in thick grass in the same places the other mower did.
Maybe it's like in the '70s with all the emissions control stuff. Got a
tiny little catalytic converter on there.

tighten the spring and speed it up a bit and it won't slow down ,
take the gas tank off and you'll see two springs pull on them
