i have an appointment |
this practice has six doctors, and the earliest one of them can
see me is december 9. one of the most common causes of central
sleep apnea is a heart problem. my father's first heart attack
was at age forty. i'm forty-four now. i had a murmur in college,
but it seemed to have gone away. now i get to worry that i have
a real problem for the next two months. bleh.
and no, %, i'm not sick. just worried that i am...

i wouldn't worry, except that it's going to be 2 mos before i
find out. if the appt were next week, it would be no biggie, but
i know my imagination's going to play with me, waiting this
long.

Please try not to worry--that might be the thing that'll
make you not feel well (not with the heart problem, but worry causes
general aches and pains, you know).

i'm not really scared, but i know how important it is to rule
this out, and i don't want to wait 2 mos to find out.
i keep wondering whether the nurse who scheduled my appt told
them i'd developed central sleep apnea, and if they'd have
found an earlier appt time if she she had. probably not, but
it's nagging at me.
i had one thing where a specialist told me to see a different
specialist no later than tomorrow, and that turned out for the
worst. now i get pretty antsy waiting for diagnoses.
