Where is that? Vermont? NH? is there snow there?

I need a dose of New England Proper. I watch the weather
from my former town, which is called 'the ice box of CT',
for many years...coldest recorded temps. It's only 55
miles away, but 1500 feet higher.
So it's always 10 degrees colder.I guess it is a plus, but
I miss my isolation some times, the views...we got bombed
and drove up there one night last week. They millionaired
my house. But there is a public/ no one uses/ shallow calm
lake up the road there for my boat...I could still go
there.

Hi Lis. IMHO....post any MF way you want, hon. And I
don't mind if the body doesn't match the head. That
happens a lot in real life. But ya might consider buying a
banjo. Really, ya can't be sad when you are playing and
singing with a banjo...."Oh death, and suffering, and
sickness...." twang twang....see? It doesn't work.

Which reminds me of my final story for this reply....
My friend who died a couple weeks ago....we were camping in
New Hampshire 30 years ago. There were 6 of us in a cabin.
I was playing a guitar, Gregg was playing a harmonica.
the other guys went into a room, and something happened,
they saw a ghost, ran out. Me and Gregg just stayed
playing/stopping/listening....then we hear "Bang Bang" and
our friends are no where near...so Gregg looks at me, I
look at him, we start Playing like a happy tune to scare
away the ghost....it was a ya had to be there thing, but we
busted out laughing.... He was a witty, funny 6 foot 6,
long blonde hair skinny guy. Then he began to steal, and
ruined his life that way

I've never played banjo. Some guitar too many years ago to
remember more than a couple of chords. Seriously played french
horn, but that's conducive to depression. It's possible to
play long mournful pieces, though mostly I didn't. Really
threw myself into it when most depressed. I played about 8
hours a day through high school. It was a depression
distraction. I got really good. Too bad I stopped. I regret
it.
