Object: i must be one of the most boring people in the world
for a long time, i used to think i was one of the ugliest guys on earth. i
still consider myself ugly (and fat), although no longer one of the ugliest
in the world.
i must be an extremely boring person, though. i don't think i have anything
to say that anyone else is really interested in listening to.

People aren't a monolithic entity. It's not you vs. them, although it
can seem like that sometimes. Maybe you don't fit in with "mainstream"
kind of people. I certainly don't. I'm extremely quiet in groups of
people, I can't talk about sports with other guys, and most people don't
like to argue politics endlessly like I do. So I'm pretty much a loner.
There are more than likely people out there who are similiar to you in
many respects and who wouldn't find you boring. The trick is finding
these types of people while not worrying about the other people who you
don't click with.

For me, it was a process of elimination. I kept trying different
things, none of which worked. So, at least I knew where NOT to go next.

Funny. This poor guy hasn't figured it out yet. People here pay
more attention to you, Dave, than they do to him. And he's never
gonna figure out why.
