I love my little doggie . She always greets me at the door when I come home
.. Doggies do cut out the lonelyness quite a bit . I have a girlfriend , and
dont want to have to do without either of them :-) Have you tried to call
the local vetrinarian ? Thats how I adopted my 4 year old doggie . Her
previous owner lived in a trailor , and had to get rid of her . They even
delivered her to my house since my transportaion was broke at the time , and
I gave them some money for their trouble . You reminded me that I need to
call or write them that it is working out very well with the doggie :-)

Dont be afraid to adopt . Maybe I got lucky , but I adopted the best doggie
she could ever be . She cant take the place of the one that died at 15 , but
she is a very good and loving doggie :-)

Yeah , even though getting a dog is a big responsability , I feel that he
could already be enjoying the companionship of a dog . I have no idea why he
seems stuck on a poodle , one of my least favorite breeds , but if he can
take care of it - the more power to him . Just remember that it is necessary
to have some money saved up to cover the vet hospital if need be . Thats
where the REAL responsability comes in to play . It cost my friend $1000 to
get one of her shepards that had seisures out of the hospital . They wont
give the dog back until the bill is paid in full . If you cant pay , its
kill the dog time .

I have never had a vet like that. I can't believe that is lawful either.
If you can't pay your garage bill they can't sell your car, they can keep it

yeah i can't imagine they could kill the dog. i would think they'd get
sued! you can't just nuke somebody's dog because they don't have the
money to bail it out of the hospital.

I would have to believe that its bs too, I have had a lot of dealings with
vets over the years and there is always some kind of payment option, whether
by chq/cc or time payment. Although, I did become the owner of one little
kitten because my local vet was so fed up with one family of irresponsible
pet owners, who never immunised or speyed any of their cats. When they took
one of thier kits to him with cat flu and malnourished and said they could
not pay the bill, he kept the kit for overnight obs, rang the family the
next day and told them the kit had died and when I went in collect my own
cat that day, asked if I wanted to give her a home for free. I suppose thats
illegal, but it was for the best for the kitten. She is now immunised,
speyed and a healthy and happy 4 year old.

probably not *exactly* legal but oh well! lol. we take in and rehome
animals from time to time when people can't pay for their treatment. a
fair number of cats. a dog here and there. litters of kittens people
find under their porches. stuff like that.

Yeah , I forgot that that is avalable , but you need to know just what IS
and what IS NOT covered . I dont know much about it , but I do know that

I think it's a right idea to get a pet with which you have to spend some
time - taking care of it. Cats, for example, barely need care from others,
as they're very independent creatures. Dog's a good idea. It will help you -
I'm sure. I have a three-years-old brother for these purposes :)

The hip joining? ;)
Either that or the umbilical cord.
Tiggers last 'trick' is to stay downstairs after I go to sleep (we moved to
a new house abut 3 months ago).
She sits at the bottom of the stairs and meowls until I get out of bed, come
downstairs, pick her up, carry her upstairs and out her in bed with me. Then
she contently purrs herself to sleep.
She can mrowl for an hour, till I do that. An hour is my threshold. I
couldn't wait longer to see just how long she will keep it up. I need my
sleep!!!
I know, I'm a pushover.

Well, I was ambivalent to dogs, but after taking care of the neighbor's
rottweiler and lab while they are out of town, I 'HATE" dogs again. First,
they have these huge dogs living in the house, tearing up the whole place, then
the first thing Shady the lab did when I went in to let them out was jusmp on
my and scratch herr large clawws donw myu cheek. and now, she won't go into
the back room where they are suppose to be kept. Won't mind for anything, not
even a food tempt.
They are too big to be in a house, and to smelly.
I was badly mauled by a dog when I was ten, so I don't care much for large
dogs anyway. I thought these two were pretty sweet dogs when I first met them
, but now I just think they are stupid dogs. I'll stick to my cats.

Maybe a small cut dog; do they still smell , like the larger ones?

i think that depends on the breed. a clean miniature poodle doesn't smell
much.

what not a small dog? i'm considering a mini poodle or a toy poodle
(even smaller than the miniature poodles).

Maybe a small cut dog; do they still smell , like the larger ones?

i think that depends on the breed. a clean miniature poodle doesn't
smell much.

What would you know Martie, you have never owned one. Dogs smell regardless
of breed and I have had both toy and minature poodles. If you want a dog,
get a female and have her speyed as soon as she is old enough......

I think it's a right idea to get a pet with which you have to spend some
time - taking care of it. Cats, for example, barely need care from others,
as they're very independent creatures. Dog's a good idea. It will help you -
I'm sure. I have a three-years-old brother for these purposes :)

I love dogs.My favorite dogs are Gold Retrievers and Bijon
Frisse's.I think Golden's are just so incredibly beautiful,I just love
to stare at them,and pet them,and Bijon's are so cute.but I couldn't
have a dog in my apartment.

A bucket of water and a pregnant Anopheles mosquito? I can feel the
sweats coming on, just thinking about it.
