Object: I read a book.
In only three days! It's twelve years since I last did that. Maybe
something's unblocked. :)
Now, what shall I read next? Fiction of naanfiction?

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

I read a "real" book (not a "lite" book) recently. Got
the library fine paid down so I could use the card.
It was Andrew Levy's _ The First Emancipator _ : the
forgotten story of Robert Carter III the founding father
who freed his slaves.

but the edge is still Out there. Or maybe it's In... HST (1967)
when i got to the edge , i built a deck % (2005)

I'd add it to my list, but I already have at least a hundred books I've
already bought but not yet read.

that describes me too. I have a lot of books on my shelf that I
either haven't opened or haven't finished... and I'm reading about 3 or
4 books at the same time.(though I may not finish them all in this
decade..)

I've finished two, and read two, in the last three weeks (I read a lot
on holiday). At that rate, I may be able to start buying them again
sometime towards 2010. Then there are all my wife's books, and Wynne's.
I'm not counting the colouring books, since all my crayons need
sharpening, and the black one's been used up.

maybe i'll try a book next. i've been sticking to short stories
because i have no attention span. there's a meditative-type book
on emotion regulation that i've had my eye on for some time, and
i was just offered a deal on it. sounds like something i could
take at my own pace, anyway.
that's great that you could read! it must have been terrible for
a writer to have lost this ability.

I'm trying to decide what to read next; an Italian detective novel (in
translation), or a book on Mary Magdalene. I may get both going - I
suspect Mary may be a bit dry - it's a university text, not the Da Vinci
Code.

i find nonfiction easier to read than fiction, if i'm into the subject
material.

I've been like that for a decade, so I'm proud of myself for reading a
novel at all, let alone so quickly.

With me, I'd rather read a technical instruction manual than any story.

It was a Donna Leon detective story. Light, but with enough in it to
keep the interest going. I worked out who did it quite early on, but I
didn't work out why until she spelt it out at the end.
