bad. There are lots and lots of youth gangs who regularly fight each
other. Many of them carry knives and other weapons and murders, while
not commonplace, aren't that rare, unfortunately. They've all got
their little territories and if a kid doesn't belong to a particular
gang or area they could be in real trouble if they stray into that
area.
I've heard it said that if a doctor wants to learn how to treat
gunshot wounds they are advised to work in a hospital in South Africa.
If they want to learn how to treat knife wounds they should work in a
hospital in Glasgow.

i guess i'm just glad its not like that here
Sometimes people, especially people who've never lived or even visited
here, make this place sound as if there's carnage on the streets and
that everyone is in imminent danger of attack. That's just not true
and I bet we compare favourably with any other city of similar size
and socio-economic diversity.

i completely understand that , where i grew up ,
was the target of the same kind of thing ,
but nothing ever happened to me and i never saw anything either
