If you can find the courage, ask your doctor these questions. |
Since there are more than 100 medical conditions with depression as a
symptom why didn't you do a thorough medical evaluation before putting
me on antidepressants? WTF? Where did you get your degree from a box
of Crackerjacks?
If antidepressants work so well how come psychiatrists have the
highest suicide rate of any profession? How are you supposed to help
me when you can't even help your colleagues from playing the great big
golf game in the sky?
Since "active placebos" work as well as antidepressants statistically
speaking why did you put me on an antidepressant which has twice the
suicide risk as a placebo?
Since CBT/REBT has been proven to be more effective at preventing
relapse than other forms of therapy, why aren't there more crisis
programs involving CBT/REBT?

I did.

How would you do if your job was to hear prople complain all
day?

They rarely do placebo-controlled studies with people with
severe depression, only mild to moderate. Besides, not all
classes of antidepressants work only slightly better than
placebo.
Since CBT/REBT has been proven to be more effective at
preventing relapse than other forms of therapy, why aren't

They certainly do in both my in-patient and partial
hospitalizaion programs. Not your model, per se, rather more
toward the studies and teachings of Marsha Linnehan. Still a
form of CBT.

LOL, I simply expect uncurables are uncurables.
I'm an uncurable. I'm not even going to see a shink,
they can't help me.
