Object: I'm never doing that again
Getting drunk (first time in quite a while) and posting on t'internet.
Seems I made an arse of myself and not just on here. As the saying
goes, "Never get drunk on an empty head". So to Used2be, Justa and
anyone else I annoyed, apologies.
Now I'm off to sit in the naughty corner and think about what I did.

Welllll...it was good of you to apologize, important, necessary even, but
how about if now you cut yourself some slack, take each day as a chance to
try again, be proud of the fact that you went without for as long as you
did, and give it another go. That sounds like a plan. :-)

I meant the "amuricans" thing. The irony of complaining about people
making sweeping statements and/or judgements about a whole country,
while making sweeping statements and/or judgements about a whole
country was lost on me at the time. And I hate, afterwards, the feeling
of having lost control.
I also felt bad about what could be seen as me having a go at Used2be
because she was one of the first people I posted in reply to and was
really nice to me; the "amurican" word she had used in another group
which I picked up on
I know that because of the time differences and where I live and not
sharing the same cultural references I'm a bit of an outsider here but
I don't want to be know as the outsider who pisses everyone off, as
well.
This whole computer and internet thing for me is not only about support
for depression but also to try to improve how I interact with people
because It's not something I'm very good at. Pretty fucking useless,
actually.
..Now I'm feeling kinda "twisted" and, unfortunately, I've got no one to
blame but myself.

Hey B2T, I can identify with that.
For yonks (well, okay, 3 decades) I struggled with self-loathing. It used to hit
really bad when I'd been drinking down at the pub - I'd go to the loo and look
at myself in the mirror and I'd HATE myself. It wasn't me hating myself being
drunk, it was me hating MYSELF and the drink just allowed the feelings to come
out.
The rest of the time I was just plain fucked up, of course I didn't associate
the self-loathing with the fucked-upness.
When I realized the WHY of the self-loathing (an after-effect of being molested
as a child), it was the beginning of learning to like, even love myself flaws
and all.
It took a long time and a lot of work, but these days, even if I've been
drinking to excess, the self-loathing just isn't there.
All of this is to say, be strong, keep working at it, you can learn to
extinguish the self-hatred. FWIW I find you to be a really likable person, and I
hope you'll come to feel the same way about yourself.

I thought it was hilarious....
chill, no harm done (that I can see)

I meant the "amuricans" thing. The irony of complaining about people
making sweeping statements and/or judgements about a whole country,
while making sweeping statements and/or judgements about a whole
country was lost on me at the time. And I hate, afterwards, the feeling
of having lost control.

Call it irony and pretend you did it on purpose. It is a bit amusing
if you permit yourself to be amused.

couldn't agree more

Getting drunk (first time in quite a while) and posting on t'internet.
Seems I made an arse of myself and not just on here. As the saying
goes, "Never get drunk on an empty head". So to Used2be, Justa and
anyone else I annoyed, apologies.

Now I'm off to sit in the naughty corner and think about what I did.

I have issues with alcohol. I don't drink alot but when I do and I am
feeling stressed out I can't stop. So I am trying to look at when those
times are an stay away from situations were there is alcohol.

its not as bad. DONT THINK THAT NO MORE. hang in there , hugs, jill
