I think this fascination you have with Judge Judy has really gotten out of
hand. She's a married woman, y'know!

I have a girl crush on Dr. G. Medical Examiner. ;-)

Who is that? I'm missing something good here, aren't I? I love girl
crushes. All the love with none of the sexual angst! Did you ever see the
Gilmore Girls? I had a girl crush on Lauren Graham.

Dr. G. Medical Examiner
http://health.discovery.com/fansites/drg/drg-fansite.html
Surprisingly joyful for a medical examiner. I expected sad and haunting and
got passionate and inspiring. Her perspective takes death to a whole other
and better place and turns it into something that strangely enough leaves
the viewer feeling like they got a happy ending. Weirdly cool. It makes
for an interesting show. But the doc herself is a compelling personality.
Just a really neat lady.

BTT The Looser (which you won't understand because you are a NEWBIE LOOSER!)
said, in his insolent fashion:

Are you watching survivor? Do you have your ear plugs at the ready to
stop your brains trickling out of your ears? Loser!

Your use of the plebian "loser" already marks you as part of the non
cognescenti asd old-timers, who eschew niceties of spelling for moldy old
inside jokes (as inside as the whole public newsgroup could be, anyway), so
that's one strike. The other ten strikes are WE HAD A DEAL! I got one
reality show if you could have Judge Judy, a ridiculous termagent harridan,
who fishwifes her way into American's eardrums five days a week too many as
it is, and apparently into the ears of besotted Scots who consider this to
be the epitome of a fine woman. So fine, I gave you Judge Judy, even while
you taunted all reality shows, not even admitting that JJ *is* a reality
show, it's just YOUR reality show, the judicial equivalent of Jerry
Springer! Court TV for morons! You even tacitly addmitted it when you
traded ONE episode a week of a reality show of MY choice for your FIVE days
a week with Judge Judy!
And now this.
Survivor starts in a week and I can't wait. You don't get bug eating on
Judge Judy. You don't get lots of fake boobs bouncing arou...well, yeah, I
guess you do get that. You don't get Jeff Probst acting like a tool though!
Survivor rocks. Survivor RULES. Thursdays, yeah baby!
WE HAD A DEAL!! heathen.

I like American comedy shows, however the British stuff
is a bit ahead of it. There are just so many Brish classics,
and Some Mothers Do have Them, Gorgge & Mildred, Keeping
Up Appearances, Robin's Nest (met the actor in that), The
Good life, the "Carry On" series of movies.
America and the UK seem to produce comedy. Australian
comedy is a bit naf.

I grew up on a steady diet of British comedy. I love that you mentioned "
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em." That and "On the Buses" were our favourites, yet
every time "some mothers" comes up in conversation, it seems that no one
remembers the show. Did you know that Michael Crawford who played Frank
Spencer is the same actor who played the lead in Phantom of the Opera from
1986 to 1991? At the time I would never have recognized him had I not read
about it just before the play opened.

He sorta went from some skinny someone to largely unrecongnisable
person.
A lot of actors - and music singers change over time.
I like to remember them as they were.
Jimmy Barnes a music singer here, "Out in the Blue" prolly
on u-tube. I would not recognise on that now, however have driven
the locations and been on the ferry many many years.
