where do the images come from? It's strange, sometimes you have
memories, or fantasies, and you see colors, or scenes from your own
life, sometimes you see scenes from a movie or something... it is
tricky... and moods can change so quickly... I don't know, it's tough
to understand...

I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. It's strange because
sometimes you have a certain image in your head and you don't even
fully realize it's there. If we do realize it's there, we often wonder
why we're thinking about that as it is usually a memory of something
simple and uneventful.
I think it must have something to do with our subconcious memory. It
could be a certain scent or something like that that could have
triggered it, even if we don't conciously know we've smelled that scent
before. This would also explain the sensation that we refer to as deja
vu.
Perhaps it could be memories from when we were a very small child. You
could also say that this is like a waking dream since it is said that
dreams are our subconcious taking over while we sleep.
The subconcious is a very powerful thing.

yep, that's pretty much what I mean... yet, with me, the images
can shift very quickly... and my mood can change very rapidly as
well, based on the setting I'm in, what I'm reading... maybe it's true
for everyone, I don't know... I've always been in my own world a lot
more then most people have, so maybe it's more intense for me, again, I
don't know... I guess if you can balance concrete and abstract
thinking, it's a good idea, and maybe ideally, to combine concrete and
abstract thinking... in terms of scent, I definatly agree with that.
some scents that I wouldn't even know how to name, or quite know how to
put my finger on evoke memories and feelings...

From what I've read and understand the subconscious records EVERYTHING
from the moment we leave the womb (maybe even before?). The
subconscious is not capable of reasoning, it believes as fact EVERYTHING
it perceives.
It cannot filter out negative; if you say, "I am not depressed", it
hears/believes, "I am depressed." I try to be very careful of what I
tell my subconscious.
It think sometimes it hiccups.

Unfortunately, it seems that the higher brain in humans is in the very
early stages of evolutionary testing. And so far their seems to be some
major conflicts between it and the older parts of the brain.

I remember reading that the reptillian part of the human brain is
unfortunatly much, much larger then the more evolved, "higher" brain...
that does indeed seem unfortunate...

I hope you can remember what else you learnt from that source, since the
'reptilian' brain is tiny by comparison to the 'higher' brain. Maybe you
have internalised other such rubbish which needs expunging immediately.
Can you recall if it was on the back of a cereal packet?
