IN FACT BRAD , OUT HERE |
"%" <surfs@uniserve> wrote in message
news:vvsibga86mjnf0@corp.supernews.com...
if you wanna die , they'll let you ,
this is RCMP law , they are very understanding ,
if you get in a fist fight and say it's consensual ,
they'll just stand and watch , I know cause ,
I had three when I first moved here ,
but the last one made my last , my last ,
it was the guy that never got beat yet ,
but he didn't know about Toronto rules ,
I don't have to fight no more around here ,
and i've heard them say on my scanner ,
if you really wanna die , we'll just leave .

I've always wanted a scanner, but the police around here are trunked and
digital. Takes a lot of $ to listen to the babble at that point.

I bought mine at this umm , broken junk discount radio shack place ,
it's rules , cops , phones , all the utility companies ,
course it doesn't get much here ,
not like in a city ,
but I still get , cops , utilities , and logging trucks
I paid about 500 and it holds 200 channels on scan ,
I've only got about 20 , but you'd be surprised how busy 20 can be ,
check a-bay , there are a lot of hand held types ,
that only bank 5 or 10 channels , but i promise you'll still get alot of fun
out of it

I've actually played with them around here. The stuff that isn't digital
is boring (fire, ambulance) and the trunking often means you can only
follow a conversation for a couple of seconds before it jumps to another
channel on you. Supposedly the newer models will follow that, and for
about the same price as the top of the line Bearcat gets you the digital
decoding "expansion card" for it.

yea , I can get that trunk stuff ,
but the procedure is not worth what you hear ,
I like cops cabs ambulances ,
it's really where the busy is ,
them trunk relays are usually dead anyway ,
it's not all that hard to figure ,
but the bother is more than the result ,
there's a book you can buy with all the frequencies in your province / state
so I go with that usually ,
or search on line for some ,
or just scan in a hit and miss manner ,
it's just a beat the boredom toy
.

Oh yea, for some reason too I don't think Canadians are allowed to buy
the digital decoding expansion card. US citizens only last I looked.

i'm sure we're not , i don't even know what it is ,
oh wait ... sure we are ,
but you need a tech to install it
my scanner goes from 29.9 to 999.5 ,
with a few breaks in the middle ,
they say it's military space

Do not listen to this. It is not from a reliable source. Live, and live to
the fullest every day you possibly can! I know there are bad days, but I
also know the good, as do you! Live for the good!
