In this world ... |
.... where too many are willing to see only
the light that is visible, never the light
invisible, we have a daily darkness that is
night, and we encounter another darkness
from time to time that is death, the death
of those we love. But the third and most
constant darkness that is with us every
day, all hours of every day, is the darkness
of the mind, the pettiness and meanness
and hatred, which we have invited into
ourselves, and which we pay out with
generous interest.

People should talk to the guy behind the counter at Starbucks more and
quit being assholes to one another. That works.

Total agreement here. It doesn't pay the mortgage, but how can it be
anything but a good thing? People are nice to me almost everywhere I go. I
can look forward to that when I go out. It's a mistake to miss the
significance of graciousness.

Cameron Diaz demonstrates the similarities here...the term is used
often in celebrity gossip circles. Wow, not sure saying that makes me
look better or worse.

A friend of mine combined my love of bacon with my love of all things Star
Wars and now calls me Chewbacon.
Just Chewy for short.

no it doesn't.
.... and you need insurance to afford a 'prescription' at Starbucks, and
price doesn't necessarilly translate into "quality" ...
you should watch the Three Stooges more often, and in a higher dosage
-- and remember, the written word doesn't carry the inflection of the
authors voice ... good-natured, hostile, sarcastic ...
and, anyway, people are at their very best when they are being assholes
to each other; some are over-qualified ....
