Object: is anybody there/ freaking the ***** out (dogs)
was walking my dogs home tonight and another dog came running up and
attacked mushroom. he fought back. .luce joined in. mushroom has
punctures all over his face, bleeding everywhere. the other dog is
hurt too.
my dogs were on fucking leashes the whole fucking time. i never
dropped the leashes. this dog was loose. there's nothing i can do
about the loose dog, just hold my dogs back but that dog kept coming
kept coming.
theysaid oh i'm so sorry i'm so sorry and i say is your dog ok? my dog
is bleeding everywhere. she says that may not be his blood
it is. he is bleeding bleeding bleeding.
he's ok. punctures and blood but he'll live. no sutures. i''ll take
him in and get him on antibiotics tomorrow.
people come down to say are your dogs ok and luce jumps up and bonks
the lady in the nose when she bends down to pet her
just fucking great
fucking friendly dog with no manners
i called the cops, non-emergency number, spoke to the dispatcher. he's
going to have a cop call me whensomebdoy's available.
scared that i'll lose mydogs. scared because mydogs are the evil
fucking dogs even though they were leashed and this dog was not.
just want to get my side of the story on record.
so fucking freaked out. wiating for the cops to call is hell.

Even here where we have pit restrictions your dogs would not be held be
responsible for this situation. The dog who attacked and its owner who
allowed it off the leash would be charged. I have to commend you for
holding their leashes even though they were being attacked. Most owners I
know who have let them loose on that dog. I don't know if that's a good
thing or not or what it says about them as owners, but I do think it would
have been heartbreaking to have to hold your guys back when they were the
victims and that says a lot about you as a responsible owner. I'm so sorry
this happened to you and your pups. It's a terrible thing and I hope the
other lady gets the book thrown at her. I think you were right to want your
side on record and it sounds like there were a number of witnesses who will
back you up. I can say don't worry, and you will anyway, but try not to.
Your dogs are not evil and you did all the right things.

i knew the only chance i had of keeping it from being a complete
disaster was to keep ahold of them. we were maybe 20 feet from the
highway. plus if luce had been allowed to open her can of whup ***** the
whole way, that dog wouldnt have walked away. the worst thing ever
would have been for my dogs to seriously hurt that dog.
i wish people would keep their dogs on freaking LEASHES. is it really
that friggen hard to put your dog on a tie-out when you chuck it out
the back door?

well in your own way ,
you are to be admired for your training ,
any pitbull i know would've went nuts and ,
killed everything in a six block area ,
so my hat goes off to you for that and maybe next time ,
let go of the leash , its probably because pitbulls have ,
so much extra skin so the vitals don't get bit ,
that your dogs are just having skin punctures ,
poor things though that does suck

well maybe this will help but i doubt it ,
did you know that pits would rather fight than eat or have sex ,
its their most favorite thing to do ,
even if they get bit they don't care ,
i seen one eat a car tire once ,
not swallow it just chew it to bits ,
and i seen one eat one of those 3 foot raw hide bones ,
in about 5 minutes ,
i saw one pull a bumper off the front of a truck too ,
i also seen one turn a sheppard into a qivering whining curr that pissed
itself

Did other people see the fight? They obviously talked to you

dog fight...loud and a little bloody but sounds like no serious
injuries and no human bites (well there is the clumsy head butt).
Nobody's taking your dogs, and if they tried I think at least 30

I can understand that point of view, but I hope that at least the police officer
agreed that there were charges that could have been laid, and recorded that fact
in the report.
Just keep in mind that the other owner might not be as nice a person as you are.
If her dog was bitten, she could still turn around and haul you into small

she did agree that there were charges that could have been laid (she
asked me at the end of the conversation "and you don't want them to be
charged, is that right?") hopefully they'll make it into the report.

i'm just afraid of inflaming the whole situation. i *suspect* that
this will just go away. they were concerned enough to come down, find
my house (not sure how they did that), and check to see if my dog was
ok. i also noticed today that they've installed a tie-out.
their dog was bitten, but it was also off-leash in a public street,
about 20 feet from their property (you have to cross somebody else's
yard to get to the street). my dogs were on-leash.
god i hope things will be ok.
i think i'm going to write a letter to the editor about off-leash dogs
in this community in general (because i have had NUMEROUS incidents in
the past few months) and also to the township commissioner and cc to
the chief of police.

they showed up at my house before i ever got in touch with the police.
i was still trying to figure out what the hell to do with my bleeding

up, see how bad it really was.

ok. i also noticed today that they've installed a tie-out.

it's stupid that i can't walk my freaking dogs in my freaking town on
the freaking public streets without having to worry for my safety and
that of my dogs.
i don't think this particular dog was human-aggressive, but i'm sure
there are dogs who *are*. there are plenty of kids around here, too.
it's a public safety issue. there was a blurb in the last community
newsletter about leash laws, so it's obviously come to the attention
of some people.
