That's what i was going to ask.

Very big outdoor trash-can on wheels; about 4 feet tall. Ubiquitous in
the UK as it fits the automatic emptying gadgets on the "dust-carts".

A large (I could easily fit in it) bin for putting one's domestic
rubbish in. You wheel it to the kerb and the council collect the
contents once a week.
It was smelly, and the day wasn't wet, or too cold, so I actually did
something. I also broke the hose-pipe, but then I don't seem able to do
anything much these days without causing further work.

Aha, I got ya.

It was smelly, and the day wasn't wet, or too cold, so I actually did

I can relate to that. I'm fairly adept at making little jobs into big ones.
