don't have) all of which worked. Pity it won't switch on. Power's making
it to the motherboard, but no boot. I'm not exactly happy with computers

Did you check the jumpers on the hard drive to make sure it is set to
'master'?
Are you using a bootable cd drive? can you boot from your cd and check out
the hard drive from that?
