We have two seasons here in Darwin. Wet season and dry season. Either it is
raining or it isn't. Darwin is closer to Bali than any Australian capital
city. We are above the tropic of Capricorn. So you need to picture a
tropical type of place like say Fiji. I lived in Victoria (Melbourne) for
most of my life and there you get snow. Mostly just cold,cold, rain. Good
excuse to move.

One great place about Darwin is it is very close to Asia and Indonesia so it
is very multi cultural. You would fit right in.
