it's the video "ariel shots of hurricane ivan..."
when you get to minute 1.19 hit pause. it's the one behind the big white
one on the beach. the L shaped one with the turrent on the corner.
wow, was there ever alot of damage just before their condo. and to think i
was just there walking that stretch of beach every day for ten days only 6
weeks ago.

i keep playing it over and over (the video). i just can't get over seeing
the destruction. geez, i was just there! it makes me feel so sad inside.
i know it's just material things that can be replaced, but still it makes me
feel sad. it was such a beautiful area just a few short days ago. and i
was just there a few short weeks ago. now it's a huge mess. my parents
were fortunate in that there appears to be little damage to their condo.
they actually live in memphis, so it's not as if their "home" has been
destroyed. but they only bought the condo in april and now it's a huge mess
all around it. and i'm sure they have SOME damage since their unit is on
the top floor. i'm more worried about my sister and her husband's home,
though. it was in gulf shores. they just finished building it last year.
it's nearly a million dollar home. it even has an elevator in it. how
crazy is that? i hope they left the elevator up on the top floor when they
evacuated it! i'm sure there is major flooding all around it. i'll be
anxious to see pictures.
oh well...just rambling.
