Object: k, this is where i lived when i discovered ASD :)
http://www.bolt.com/aaronfromsuburbia
a few vids and a few pics of where I lived when I found ASD, starting
off at Gurnee Mills outlet shopping mall, in the northern Chicago suburb of
Gurnee, IL., driving over to my subdivision less than 2 miles away (hey i
could walk to and from Gurnee Mills!) ... this is also very near Six Flags
Great America which you can just kinda see from within my subdivision, in
some of the still pics i've got online. my subdivision was called Woodland
Hills. i got to like it a lot, and missed it terribly when i moved about
12-14 miles away. i remember posting from the new place i moved to just as
i got back online, and was pretty unhappy with the conditions of that place
which had no real kitchen. i've moved one more time since that into a much
'nicer' (i suppose) and newer (actually brand new) single family
house....but still, i miss the not-new, shared townhouse / duplex or
whatever they were, of my subdivision in Gurnee. who knows maybe i'll move
back there some day, but that's very doubtful, and really i'd rather be in a
better climate. the winters are still brutal.
my pics and vids were all taken yesterday morning as the sun was going up.
i really wanted to be around here after all the stress of the last few days.
it was pretty nice, in the 50s and windy. clear and sunny as the sun began
to rise.
here's a realestate page with pics of Woodland Hills subdivision in
different seasons
http://www.homesbymarco.com/subdivision-detail.asp?intsubdivid=214
sigh. it is sad to move away from somewhere you grow comfortable with.
life sucks that way.

OMG!!! thank you for noticing the Jeep. haha. of course i had to draw
over the Jeep's plate for obvious reasons, so i did something fun!
that was my place, in suburba, from 1998 to 2001 and i miss it. it's not my
childhood home (posted about that a few weeks ago)
but my home where i started to realize what happened in life, who i was.
and that's when/where i found ASD.
anyway, I think those places sell for something like $150,000 ~ $170,000,
IIRC. i rented. i don't rent now, i have a mortaged, new, single-family
individual house - but,..... am i crazy to wish that i lived there again?
even though the townhouses there were much older, more run down.
everything was better. in so many ways from the place itself (the kitchen
was AWESOME!), the whole subdivision, the location
(near Gurnee Mills mall one of the majorist malls in the whole USA (i didnt
care about that, tho) and Great Six Flags America with its roller coasters,
my next-door neighbors. everything. including my state of mind.
ah well. life goes on "__"
thanks for the reply, much appreciated!
