Last two weeks at this horrible mistake of a job. Now that my
soon-to-be-ex-bosses don't get their way from me anymore (seriously, it
seems monumentally stupid to keep signing me on to new projects when
I'm a short-timer) they keep "don't burn bridges." I tire of cliches
thrown about as sage wisdom. Why can't they be happy that I already
did them the favor of giving five weeks notice?
I'm still not sure about my new job. I know I got screwed on the salary
($54k,) although I did get a promotion out of it. I haven't signed my
acceptance letter yet, though. Would it be bad form to start looking
for a new job, and if I can land one in two weeks, just not start at
this other place?
