leaving |
we're leaving for illinois in the morning. that's assuming our
plane can leave in the snowstorm, of course. we'll be back
monday night. going to the in-laws for a huge party on sunday.
saturday is my mil's b'day lunch. this should be just
wonderful... how to tell all your husband's large extended
family that everything's ok.
see you all tuesday.

I hope you're not going to Midway - a Southwest flight out of BWI managed to
slide off the runway there tonight, and apparently dropped an engine *and*
squashed a car...

i used to hang out with the woman joe's cousin married. a
mexican woman with two kids wasn't accepted very closely for
awhile. now she's part of the family, so i mostly stay by
myself or hang on joe.
even if you family's upset with you, at least a 2-yr-old is
cute... i wish you luck with it.

Bruce grew up in Elmhurst but bought in Aurora when his job took him here.
It has really grown. We live near the newer part, near the Fox Valley Mall.
But the downtown area is really coming back to life with the casino and the
Paramount theatre. I love the old victorian gingerbread houses downtown!
Wait until the yuppies find out about that, property values will skyrocket!
I love to go over to Naperville to all the shops and cafes. It is so
quaint. Too bad you can only go outdoors three weeks out of the year around
here :::giggle:::

when we make our longer summer trip, maybe we can all get
together for lunch. i have a favorite place in geneva by the
river. i'd really like to meet you guys, especially since
we're in your hometown twice a year!
