LEGO is 50 years old |
So that's why Google's homepage is LEGO. Ha awesome. 50 years.
So many memories. Nooooo I was not around when legos came out 50 years
ago.
I started getting Lego sets around 1979 or 1980. I got lots of the
Lego classic) space sets. and a few Lego town sets. Then I made my
own *****. I could make anything out of Legos.
Best Toy ever? you bet it was.

rember lincon logs? remember when they were made out of wood.

i loved 'em and mine were the real thing .. made out of
wood.
They were wood, and I got an old Mr Potato Head set that used a
real potato. The problem with that one was, while you could be
more creative, it couldn't be kept very long.

some flea market when I was a kid. It came in handy when we moved

I once saw an erotic portrait done totally with Legos. I'm not
kidding.
They were the best. There was once a paltry spin-off called Loc-
Blocs, but Lego was king. You don't fool with the original.

Ahh, I saw that. I was wondering why the words were in lego form.
Those are my boys' favorite toys to play with. For Christmas they got
several sets from the Exoforce series, and in fact they're battling
with them right now. I think it's neat that you built your own
stuff...there's so many things you can make with them. Legoland is in
southern California and it would be fun to go there sometime.

Ahh, I saw that. I was wondering why the words were in
lego form. Those are my boys' favorite toys to play with.

Lego, at least the smaller pieces, is a danger to young children (that
means three or under, here). That's why they invented Duplo, which is
double the size. I think it fits on Lego bases, but it's been a while
since Wynne used them.
We got most of our Lego from my sister, when her children gave up on it.
We added to it, then passed it back to my nephew for his children.

I made robots with hinged limbs and I would fight them until one
of them lost all his legs/arms and theoretically couldn't move
