letting go of resentment... |
I was thinking today that I want to work harder at letting go of
anger, blame, resentment, bitterness ect...I often go over and over in my
mind the things that people said to hurt my feelings, some times things
that they said intentionally, and sometimes things they said
unintentionally, but I want to let it go...I know that it does no
good...what good does it do to torture yourself that way?I realize that
not everyone can get along, not everyone can be friends, that's not
realistic, and that getting angry is perfectly acceptable and
normal...What I want to work on is not staying stuck in the anger and
the hurt feelings...that's the problem I think...not having negative
feelings, but staying stuck in them, ruminating about them...

I don't know if you do,but I should say that I do,when I go over and
over these things in my mind...well,the word "torture" is definatly an
exaggeration, but it's certainly not fun to ruminate over these
things...
