Hi
I'm new to this group, and was wondering what results anyone was having with
Lexapro? I've been very depressed, and anxiety gets me too. Any thoughts
welcome.

Suzie - Lexapro works very well for some people, moderately for some
other, and not at all for the rest. Unfortunately, the same can be
said about any antidepressant; the effects vary so widely from person
to person that it is impossible to predict if a particular drug will
help a particular person. So we are left with trying one or two or
more until we find one that does work.
So Lexapro may be very helpful for you, or it may not. If it does
prove helpful, you can expect the effects to start showing up in 2-4
weeks after you start taking the medication.
I hope Lexapro works for you, but if this should not be the case,
don't panic. There are so many medications available that the odds of
success in time are very much in your favor.

case you have some kind of reaction, but I forget what that stuff

Hey Contrarian: just responding is helpful, I'm sure and it reminded me to
respond. I took Lexapro and it helped me for a little while. I didn't have
ANY side effects from it. One of the only anti-d's that didn't give me any
side effects. Tapering off was really hard though.
