Lisa - what about this? |
x-no-archive: yes
What about a rehab? They would know better than the psych hospital
about withdrawals and such and they would know the best
medication/cognitive therapies/etc to help you through it. I have been
in for drug withdrawal without dependency/addiction issues and there
were other people there who didn't abuse their drugs either, but
needed help with withdrawal. What do you think?

actually, the mental health unit i use has a doc who's an
addiction specialist, as well as being a pdoc. besides, the
depression's bad enough that i really need a psych unit. that's
where they'd put me. they've had addicts withdrawing before when
i've been there.

Fair enough. As long as there are people there that know what they're
doing. It's pretty hard with a dual diag even though you didn't abuse
it. Good luck eh? Keep us posted. (what about some vitamins or natural
remedies that may smoothe the way a little? - course you have to check
for interactions and that may be too much for you at the moment, I'm
just thinking outloud)
