Oh whew that is good to hear. A little bit better is much better than
nothing at all. You sure do it tough Lisa. I sure hope that one day
this all goes away and you can resume your life when it all started
those 8 or so years ago. I would so love to hear you play your french
horn. :)

i'd love to hear it, too! first the horns need to be
reconditioned before i can play them, since they've been in
storage for so many years. then i can start building my
embochure up from scratch. eventually, i'd like to play half
as well as i used to. that should be well enough to play in
the local band, anyway. i doubt i'll be back to serious
orchestral playing, but one never knows...
thanks for the good wishes. they mean a lot to me.

This is such exciting news! You know what, I started out playing the
piano for just 15 mins a day. I set the timer, got myself a "goal
song" and just played for those 15 minutes. I didn't put any pressure
on myself at first, but just enjoyed the experience. Now I am up to
nearly 3 hours per day, and my skill level is probably better than
when I played as a teenager (although the body is protesting a bit at
the moment).
I would love to see if you could do it. Or even for 5 minutes per day.
Would it cost a lot to get it reconditioned? You could keep that goal
of joining the band as a distant one for the moment, so as not to put
too much pressure on yourself, but what a goal!!!!
Go for it Lisa if you possibly can. It has made the world of
difference in my life even with the chronic fatigue, depression,
anxiety, food allergies blah, blah, blah....
thanks for the good wishes. they mean a lot to me.
Hey, no worries. You are a great person you know that?

i'm sure i can do it. just have to have the cash on hand to
have 2 instruments reconditioned. 15 minutes a day would be
minimum. it'll drive me nuts, otherwise, not to be able to
play all the music i know. i still remember all the
fingerings, even, just need to build up the muscle.
thanks for the good wishes. they mean a lot to me.

Yep, well after about 27 years of only playing very sporadically,
sometimes only once per year, it does take a while for the muscles to
build up strength again. That's why I started very slowly.
Do you think you could save up the money? Music is so healing.

Tis true and many other here would agree with me :)
