I like Tupac, he doesn't have a lot of the "insight" that you get from
artists like KRS-ONE but songs like Changes, Brenda's Got A Baby,
Starin' Through My Rearview Mirror...and Until The End Of Time...that's
what rattles off the top of my head.
I find DMX to be really good too, I don't particularly like a lot of his
"Ride Or Die" kind of stuff, but he's got a lot of songs that seem to
(IMO) reflect his struggles with his past, loss and the emotional
struggles. He's on the list of bi-polar famous people, but I don't draw
much of worth just because an artist/writer/actor is on the "list".
