Object: long night ahead
it's just about midnight here, and i feel too crappy to think
about sleep. too much energy going into fighting my urges. i'd
usually read, but can't concentrate enough to read more than a
paragraph. i'm actually reading my spam. it's generally short
and easy.

i like the onion, but the articles are too long. i was reading a
murder mystery; an easy read and gripping enough to hold my
attention. can't handle it either tonight.
i've been using stumble and saving wordy pages i like for later.
unfortunately, there's no stumble category for 'very short,
using 4th grade vocabulary'.

Agatha Christie is a perfect example of easy reading murder
mysteries... I'm just crazy about those books... I've read about 35-40
of her books, all together... sometimes I don't have the attention span
for other books, but Agatha Christie books are so engrossing,in my
opinion...

i like agatha christie, also. i've been trying to read one of
her books, but i'm just not getting into it. it's kellerman
books right now. more mystery/thriller. over the past couple
of days, i can't read that, either.

I also had some difficulty yesterday, but eventually came out of it. It
sounds like you have a lot there to distract yourself :). Fun. I hope
today is better.
I've been using webmail so I can delete it from the server, instead of
from outlook. That way I have a choice as to whether or not to open it.

Lisa, I never open them. Do you?

almost never. i look at the paypal and ebay ones out of
curiosity, to see where they originate. then i often forward
them to the appropriate spoof@ addys. i also sometimes look
at the foreign language ones. i'm on taiwanese and israeli
lists now, for some reason.
my emailer reader (pmail) doesn't run html code, though i can
set it to display such, so i run very little to no risk of
infection.

I only open that stuff when I visit the University, and most of them
have viruses in them. Their computers have heavy-duty protection.

i'm running pmail, which doesn't run code. also keep my
antivirus up-to-date. between the two, i've never had a
problem.
stuff sent to my umass account runs through our network virus
scan, too. i haven't seen anything get past it.
