I'm taking better pictures with my new camera. Check out the 9-12 month
pics of Buddha at: http://home.wi.rr.com/mycroftholmes/
You can also see my stainless aluminum Christmas tree in the Christmas 2006
section.

I've been waiting for the al christmas tree photos.
Do you have a tripod? If it looks shiny with the lights off and fully
christmas bulbed up that could make for a pretty neat photo.

We never put lights on the tree since it is metal. I want to get some
spotlights to shine on it like my father did when I was a kid.

Is putting lights on it verboten for some reason?

They always say not to put electric lights on a metal tree. But I suppose
it's no great danger unless you have a frayed wire. But I think the
aluminum trees look best without lights.

I guess I'll have to find one in person

I don't think many people put them on aluminum trees. The branches are
rather fragile, and wrapping then unwrapping all those strings of lights
can lead to damage.
The tradition for aluminum trees was to use spot lights with revolving
color wheels. WE always used just white spot lights since the color wheels
didn't look good with the green/silver trees.
I haven't been able to find floor standing spot light though. All the local
places have only the kinds of spot lights made for mounting outdoors on
your garage or house.
