Object: Med regime?
Is this a suitable med regime for a schizoaffective sufferer?
Sulpiride 150mg 100mg Morning 50mg Night
Wellbutrin SR 150mg Morning 150mg Late Afternoon
Citalopram 40mg Morning
Diazepam 10mg Night
I must say I feel excellent on this combination. I also take Melatonin
3mg at night also. Is it to many meds though? Or should I trust my
Psychiatrist.

If you feel excellent on that combination, and you're not having
debilitating "side effects" from it, maybe you should enjoy your good
fortune. My brother has schizoaffective disorder; he takes *six*
different meds for it. Sounds like you're getting just what you need, no
more, no less.

I agree. Most neuroleptic med arrangements suck or feel bad in some way.
If you are comfortable on this cocktail, then go for it.

No, I don't think so, these psychs are just psykos?
Before you take any medicine at all, just consider the following:
* What effect would it have on your abilities to think and speak?
* What effect would it have on your abilities to reproduce (having
children)?
Before you take anything, be sure, that you have good and HONEST
answers on these questions. For your own sake, and for the benefit of
mankind in general, IMHO.

I don't know about trusting your psychiatrist. Trust yourself.
You're the best judge. If you feel good on your meds, that's the best
indication that they are what you need.

I agree. What matters is the results you get.

I think he wants to target all three neurotransmitters. Serotonin, Nor
Adranaline, Dopamine. For maximum AD effect.

You may wish to go by the following, it is found on our website. Please
email me for the link, I have found it to be very stabalizing. It is
recommended that an anticonvulsant, two antidepressants, and a mild dosage
of antipsychotic be used. I hope this is helpful. I also use diazepam
(Valium generic) for anxiety.
Anticonvulsant Tegretol, Depakote, Lamictal 800 mg Tegretol XR
Antidepressants Effexor, Cymbalta, Remeron, Lexapro, Zoloft, Pamelor
(low dosage) 150 mg Effexor
30 mg Remeron
Neuroleptic Risperdal, Haldol 4 mg Risperdal
