Object: Memories...
Memories are so strange...how one memory brings up so many other
memories..how memories bring up feelings...how a smell,a word,an
object,a place can bring up associations that you thought were
completly forgotten...I read that there are "past" oriented
people,"preasent" oriented people,and "future" oriented people.I've
always been a past oriented person.I'm always analyzing the
past, memories are always going through my mind...I sometimes wonder
how common that is...How often do most people remember things?I'm sure
memory is selective for everyone, thankfully.I know I'll never be a
totally "present" oriented person, but I guess that's what I should
work on...being in the present more...letting go...

well,sometimes,it's a specific memory,sometimes it's the picture of
the place that comes back, and sometimes it's mainly the feeling...but
smells are definatly extremly evocative...and they can be really hard
to put your finger on...

What cult requirements? Why would you go to a meeting when you insist
on drinking instead? Hmmm... how many people have come to your door

I hear you, alvintchase.
And to me, the past is always better. Everything takes on a rosy glow when
viewed from the present. I'm not sure why this is so.
But the memories of things are always better. Sometimes I try to get things
over with, just so that I can have the memory of it later on, cause I know
it will be better.
I can't let go of my past. Don't really want to, either.
