It's strange how the memories we have change depending on where we
are, who we are with, what mood we are in etc... how common is it that
when we have memories, the scenery, the setting of the memories is
always changing? sometimes we remember certain conversations, but the
conversations take place in settings that change constantly... it
doesn't only apply to memories, but to day dreams as well... the thing
is, you can't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone... It's so easy
to have the same thought patterns and behavior patterns every day... to
do the same things every day, to not take chances, take risks, try new
things... How do we not get stuck so often in old habits, patterns,
ruts?

I wish I could remember good moments as vividly as I remember the bad ones.

yes, that's the way it is with me as well... the bad memories
usually come flooding back more often then the good ones... and they
are difficult to banish...

I often relive my bad memories like I'm experiencing them all over
again... Wow, would it be nice to be able to do that with good ones.

You could break out of your old habits and ruts and the way you usually
think by supporting conservative Republicans and putting up an American
flag. That would be very unconventional for you, you'd shock the heck
out of your parents and friends.
Or you could keep thinking & doing same ol same ol by supporting liberal
Democrats, that is if you want to stay boring, predictable, and
conventional. Your choice. ;-)
