Million Dollars |
If you won a Million Dollars, what would you do with it?
I would open a hospice for Thyroid Cancer Patients. Having to go into
isolation is tough, no contact with "normal" people for fear of
contaminating their thyroids. Not being able to drive while off
medication is a huge inconvenience, having to do anything when I'm
off meds is horrible. I have a Commercial Class B driver's license
w/ a passenger endorsement so would also buy a bus for
transportation. I would work with everyone going through this
including support groups, the Low Iodine Diet, exercise for those who
have the energy. Everyone in the home would be either glowing from
radiation or getting ready to glow. The nice thing no one would have
to be alone because everyone would bea Thyroid Cancer Patient and the
risk of damaging someones thyroid would be 0... This home wouldn't be
just for those who can afford it, I would be a none profit
orginization and I would take donations and volunteers, of course from
other Thyroid Cancer Survivors, hospitals, clinics, etc. Maybe
someday huh? I seriously would love to open something like this.

Difficult Q. I've had much more than that in my life (do and don't)
ATM. Wondering how when the place is established you would
keep it running? Donations might not cover it.
I think it is a nice thought, however the world is now full of people.
Some are trash and should be used as lawn manure, others, usually
nicer more usefull folk die of something bad.
Life sux. Those are the only two words that make sense.

There are clubhouses like this around the world for mental illness. It is
intended mainly to help people get a job for those who can and want to.
Maybe it could follow a similar structure. I know that you have gone through
a lot.

Thanks David,
Basically the clubhouse idea is perfect for what I am thinking, except
people would live there while preparing for radiation or after
receiving radiation, while they are at risk of contaminating other's.
Thanks!!!

I'm writing the bit of my book where I have a group of irradiated humans
in a quarantined unit with two irradiated aliens. I get to play with
numbers and species differences soon, as well as some interesting
interactions. Google will provide fodder for my imagination.
