Misery Stronger Than Will |
I had blood work done this morning. And it is pathetic to say that for a moment
I wanted to say "hail victory" (like Marty) just for the stupid success in
getting in my chair with a motor and getting it done. I have two articles
nearly complete (one is getting published) and I should be happy and proud.
Two more are getting published this year.
But I can't work right now. I can't do much but wander around here on ASD
looking for old friends and beating myself up inside for being a failure -- at
motherhood, at daily functioning, at overcoming, at maintaining friendships --
the list is endless.
I want my mother. This is pathetic.

you should be proud, rosena. both about the articles, and as silly as
it sounds, on getting out and getting the blood work done on a day
when it's hard just to keep breathing.

you're not a failure. you're hurting. you're hurt. you're wounded.
maybe a little bit broken. but you're still hanging on, doing the best
you can, still putting one foot in front of the other, even when you
stumble. that's not being a failure.
I want my mother. This is pathetic.
it's not.

Thanks Elegy. I know you understand.
By the way, I loved your report on dog training day. Was just too low to
respond. But when I read these reports of yours I always think how lucky your
pet is to have such a good "mama."
