The mount of Luna is a symbol for external influences on one's life, and
the "inner way in which we deal with the outer world".(152) Lines that
stream from this mount are in concordance with travel and strangers who
affect our lives. It is the hallmark of inspiration, dreams, occultism,
creativity, and ideality. As a result of this, the mount of Luna
indicates the creative output of an individual. They are lovers of
journeys, especially regarding the sea. A well-developed mount of Luna
with no conflicting marks will designate the bearer as one who rides the
currents of imagination, who captures the beauty of its waters with
poetry, prose, art, and other abstract and synaesthetic media. These are
the dreamers, the romancers, whose headiness is amplified further with
long, slender, and tapered hands.
All that the archetype of the moon and femininity provides us, we may
find in the mount of Luna. Darkness, mysteriousness, water, intuition,
coldness, occultism. Let these primal symbols be your guide as you chart
the expanses of the palm.
NB: If there be a large bulge near the bottom of the palm, the subject
possess a more sensual imagination, fired by contact with external
stimuli and sensations. If the bulge be at the top, nearer the mount of
upper Mars, the imagination is more intuitive and internalized.(157-8)
If overdeveloped, the bearer may have difficulty in differentiating
their world with reality, or they, in their deference to their dream
world, will withdraw from reality themselves. They have a propensity for
excessiveness in spirituality and love of beauty. They are anxious and
uneasy as the result of their hyperstimulated imaginative faculties.
They are subject to delusion, and may deceive others quite unwittingly
as they are drawn into their fantasies. It is no coincidence that there
exists the term "lunacy."(154)
If the mount be underdeveloped, the bearer lacks enthusiasm and
imagination. This want of imagination makes it difficult to conceive the
point of view of another person.(161) A flat, white mount betokens an
utter dearth of imagination, coupled with bleak and bitter
pessimism.(93)
Markings
* Horizontal lines usually enervate the mount, but if found on the
lower portion of the mount, assume especial purpose. These are travel
lines, indicating journeys that typically traverse the seas. The longer
and more ingrained the line, the more lengthy and important the journey
is, respectively. A line which is crossed, broken, or islanded betokens
unpleasant journeys.(112) Too many of these lines indicate a restless
nature.(93)
* Vertical lines increase the imaginative intellect of an
individual, but their plentitude may warrant derangement.
* A mesh is a sign of melancholia and constant worry.(115)(176)
* A cross is an omen of superstition and dreaminess(113), the latter
of which could result in self-deception.(173)
* The star is an ill omen indeed. Though it brings with it
imagination that may very well meet with great acclaim, the bearer
themselves will be too senseless and deranged to enjoy the fruits of
their own brilliance. Older texts often attribute the star to death by
drowning--interpret this with great caution and pronounce it only when
accompanied by other clear signs of death.(114)
* The square, as always, is a symbol of protection. Placed upon the
mount of a highly creative individual, this mark will fortify the
boundaries between reality and imagination so that they may never be
shattered.
* The spot is a dark blemish upon the intellect, foreboding a
disease of the nervous system eventuating to hysteria or senseless
madness.(113)
* The triangle provides one wisdom in the use of their imaginative
faculties. The bearer of this mark will be able to harness their
creative potential without succumbing to insanity.(113)

no actually , in any aspect of the term ,
it was kind of like , we knew we would if we could ,

the obvious possibility enhance many many fold ,

knowing the future and having power over that ,

True enough. I mean, you're definitely on the A list around here, at
least from where I sit. Me, I was offline for two months earlier this
year when my 'puter went haywire and was deemed irrepairable, and had to
wait for a new one to be configured and sent. No one online seemed to
notice my absence at all. Luna'd been interested in helping me relocate
to the Island and get a job there. That's probably a wash now, too.

Well, I've never posted as much as you have, certainly. But I have a
nearly ten-year history of posting here almost daily, with some extended
breaks here and there. And it used to be that, if I was gone for awhile,
people would ask about me, and why I'd not been posting; and I'd be
welcomed back when I did resume. But the last couple of times I took a
break from posting, no one noticed. And the daily quotes I posted six
and seven years seemed to be fairly appreciated. But when I revived them
last year, they just seemed to fall dead in the water. For whatever
reason(s), my stock around here has apparently dropped, so far as I can
tell. It's not a reassuring thing to think that, once upon a time, there
was such a thing as "good old days" for me on asd, back when I'd e-mail
regularly with other members, and even talked to Luna on the phone once
a month or so, and now that's all a memory, and I don't see it being
reprised. I wish I knew how I lost all that.

I want to. But that'll take longer than originally expected, I wager. As
I said, I still want to go back to the friendly northern confines to
visit Luna again, and you as well, probably also Tara and Liz sometime.
I've said it before, I'd love to live in Canada, preferably near one of
the coastal areas. But that's not gonna happen soon--if I can't hold a
job where I live, I can't expect the Canadian government to wave me on
in to establish permanent residency. Well, such is life as it stands

a
break from posting, no one noticed. And the daily quotes I posted
six
and seven years seemed to be fairly appreciated. But when I
revived
them
last year, they just seemed to fall dead in the water. For
whatever
reason(s), my stock around here has apparently dropped, so far as
I
can
tell. It's not a reassuring thing to think that, once upon a time,
there
was such a thing as "good old days" for me on asd, back when I'd
e-mail
regularly with other members, and even talked to Luna on the phone
once
a month or so, and now that's all a memory, and I don't see it
being
reprised. I wish I knew how I lost all that.
losing stuff makes room for new stuff ,
you tried an adventure it didn't work as you might have wished ,
you seemed to like the travelling anyway ,
maybe book another trip when you can , it could be a real exciter
I want to. But that'll take longer than originally expected, I
wager.
As
I said, I still want to go back to the friendly northern confines to
visit Luna again, and you as well, probably also Tara and Liz
sometime.
I've said it before, I'd love to live in Canada, preferably near one
of
the coastal areas. But that's not gonna happen soon--if I can't hold
a
job where I live, I can't expect the Canadian government to wave me
on
in to establish permanent residency. Well, such is life as it stands
right now.
yea , i hear ya , its not always affordable ,
and then there are extenuating circumstances ,
i'm just offering up a keep it in mind
Thanks, Dave. You're a good friend in a difficult circumstance. But
you
knew that already.
i could really run with this ,
but my finger's getting tired ,
no , its not so , no , no , i won't ,
but thanks back Nick ,
i think you're doing great with what you've been served as of
.

True enough. I mean, you're definitely on the A list around here, at
least from where I sit. Me, I was offline for two months earlier this
year when my 'puter went haywire and was deemed irrepairable, and had to
wait for a new one to be configured and sent. No one online seeme to
notice my absence at all. Luna'd been interested in helping me relocate
to the Island and get a job there. That's probably a wash now, too.
I think not, the only thing is you have to find a thing to do, we'd
talked about ebay - hell, I met this guy who told me he makes 3k
annually by buying cd's at garage sales and reselling them in pawn
shops. As per usual, money precedes choice.

I glad to hear (see?) you say that. Right now my best option would be
some sort of telecommuting.
Which reminds me...you also sounded interested in that when we discussed
it. Do you still consider it an option for yourself?

It's a tough go, the whole ebay thing. Hardly anyone makes enough money at
it to call it a job but if you have the knack you can do well. For me - no.
I like the whole get up, shower, get dressed and go out into the world
thing. I think it's been good for me. Working at home contributed to my
isolation when I did it.

You can't take that personally, you really can't. It happens to a lot
of people here, I'd dare say most. I've suddenly noticed sometimes
someone stopped posting, and I have no idea where they went. There's
just too much going, people are wrapped up in their lives, it's just how
it works, IMO. So this particular instance is not evidence of your
unworthiness or unlovability, (if that's even a word, I don't know.)

i think waffles , yea , we could have some fun with waffles ,
then out for a stroll , maybe down by the shore ,
see if we really do see anything , ummm , oh yea , sea lions ,
yea , lets watch them look at that big bully guy buggin all the
other
guys ,
and a stroll on and back , swing pass the store ,
get cheesy poofs and two movies and i might say ,
a 6 pack of Mikes Hard Lemonade , but i doubt it would fly ,
then home to sit close and movie , maybe slide an arm around
behind
,
maybe find a reason to need to reach over to that side ,
try and pick up a clue , maybe fake i think i have something in
my
eye ,
or go flat out right off the gate ,
take her home and say ,
well you momma , lez boo gee ,
just depends on my mood , now its sunday , no one wants to see it
end
yet ,
and i should add all the while we'[d be talking about asd because
,
well , because
I think this is the biggest post I've seen from % ever. but then,
who
can
read them all?
its average big as far as my big posts go ,
i've done a few others this big , but not many ,
no need to waste a ton of bandwith ,
and go on so long it gets boring just to say something like ,
)))))))))))))))))))))))))) BOING ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
the fact that you integrated 'bandwidth' as an excuse has me chuckling
pretty good..
