I saw Sept 11'th on DVD over the weekend. fairly intense , it is
the best film Oliver Stone has done in a while. His best movie is
still The Door's . Meg Ryan said she didn't ever want to work with
Oliver Stone again , that he was mean. I don't kow what to think
about that statement but the final scene in that movie still haunts
me,It would have been so easy to over play that and meg Ryan nailed
that moment. break on thru to the other side. I think endings
define everything. They are very importantm they give perspective to
everything that comes before. To me the worst thing is a story
that just stops or meanders and fades, give it a bad ending, give it
a fake ending but for gods sake give it an ending!!! maybe sept, 11th
isn't over yet, I wish it was,
I am blown away that I live in a world where people do this to other
people. It is not that I don't approve it goes deeper then that, it
is that I don't understand . , JILL

Humans have always done it to each other. But in the past they used to
gather in the tens of thousands and rush at each other with swords. Every
bit as bloody and horrifying, but with a more personal touch as compared to
today's push-button warfare.

It made more sense for men to go off to war to protect there
families, to perserve there way of living. This is so different,
blowing up anybody who happens to be around , children , babies, old
people, collateral damage I guess.
Innocent people always get hurt in a war but when did they become the
target? This idea that thier are no innocents anymore is scary.

I like Abbie Hoffman's approach to war..."I believe in compulsory
cannibalism. If people were forced to eat what they killed, there would be
no more wars."

Actually innocents were the targets in the past. But not until the war was
over and the pillaging began.

Humans have a "hunting" instinct, a bit like cats, where they
want to kill something, but not in all cases for food.

the things that go on in the world... the things that humans do to
each other... it's enough to make you never leave your bed... what
that guy did to those 2 old ladies for example in N.Y... how can a
person punch a 101 year old woman? how can a person punch anyone who
is 101 and 85 years old? the person must be so sick...

well, if you haven't seen "notes on a scandal", or "little

were very good movies...

no, I never saw that movie... I usually love heavy dramas as well,
that's my nature, my temperament... have you ever read about the
enneagram? I am definatly an average to unhealthy "4" on the
enneagram... It's very hard to move up and become a more healthy
"4"...
