My best friend |
May have cancer that will kill him by the end of
the year, although healthy right now. Had a chat
about life in general tonight. I'm fairly sure it
will be allright. He left it too long to get treatment,
however I'm hoping it will be OK. I think there is
a good chance it will be.
I won't go into the details, however will find out in
the next few weeks.
I'm going to be more unhappy than usual posting
here if things turn bad.

I've committed to more than that. He does a lot for his friends
and relatives. I made a commitment to look after the needs of
one close of them who is sick, to him.
Pretty tough person, so I'm thinking/hoping it will turn out
well.
There is a family history of cancer which bothers the both
of us, and someone else we both knew that the same type
died.
We have been friends since we were kids
It will be an anxious few weeks to see if the
totally fucked disease of cancer is gone.
Although my mother died of leukemia (that
doesn't worry me that I'll get that, as cancer
has never been otherwise in my family tree)
I just don't want to attend another funeral of
someone who has died of some sort of cancer.
Cancer is a disgusting disease for anyone
to have.

I'm sure of one thing though, stress is a partial
cause of it.

Many thanks, I think will be OK, however as the first illness in life,
and skin cancers are not good, it would certainly freak me out.
I think/hope they cut it all out, however there is a waiting period
to do a test to see. My friend believes that the results of that
is life or death.

Many thanks, I think will be OK, however as the first illness in life,

Skin cancer is very treatable though, tell her to keep a positive attitude.
I honestly believe state of mind helps with cure and recovery big time.
I'll send positives thoughts your way and you can pass them on, but don't
get too down, waiting is the hardest thing to do, but until those results
come back she'll not know for sure.

Keep your fingers closed. Skin cancer is one of the types of cancer which
can be cured. Don't get depressed and I'll stop talking as if a knew
nothing about depression ;o).
