I'd forgotten how much fun colds aren't.

Got my car started yesterday (new battery GBP45) and managed to get an MOT
test booked for 2:30 today. Then for the tax. Isn't Xmas wonderful?

I'm not sure how, but we've managed to get servicing, tax, MOT and
insurance all in separate months. Costs the same in the end, but not all
at once.

It's a two-boxer so far. I had to go out and buy some more this morning.

I had things better spread out, but they've sort of been left outstanding
this year and they've all ended up having to be dealt with at once. I
haven't used the car since Easter. Mercifully it passed the MOT with
flying colours. I even dared a car-wash, and no water got in and nothing
fell off.
Of course, while it was parked some poor desperate soul smashed the lock on
the boot-lid (without getting in) so as the driver's door was similarly
treated a couple of years ago, I now only have one working key-hole. I
hope 'central locking' doesn't give up on me. This car has no 'remote
locking'.
There's a nasty stack of brown envelopes about the tax. I really haven't
been able to focus. The insurance is essentially just a phone call (sounds
so easy!).

I've been getting the own-brand bogof ones.
Expect to hear snuffling and wheezing from South Wales any time now.
Assuming I get there.
