Yeah, they're mighty hunters, you bet. Maine coons are a damn hardy
breed. And their resourcfulness in that regard sure cuts down on the
grocery bill--although it could risk an escalation in vet costs down the
road, from being too emboldened toward the local fauna. They sometimes
take on critters more formidable than they, and end up with nasty-*****
injuries. Not always, but often enough to merit mention.

i've wondered and tried to tell her ,
he ain't no holler back cat , he's got tattoo's ,
and then we fed him and hugged him and made him toys ,
and sometimes he's fetch and sometimes he'd kill the toy ,
on his first night out he brought mouthfuls and mouthfuls ,
of dew worms for us all to share , the odd bird ,
then a magpie , brought it right in the house ,
it was summer , door open i'm a floor down thing ,
i hear the ping bang boom ,
run up to a magpie fiasco , i pick up the magpie ,
toss it out , it flies to the nearest tree ,
i figure ok it'll live ,
before i could close the door ,
off goes the cat into the tree and up in 2 jumps 15 feet ,
grabs the magpie with both front's and jaw and ... let go ,
fell right through all the branches to the ground ,
killed the magpie its family going curr azy as he dressed to dine ,
i knew i had a cat , i've warned her about getting cornered ,
she say's i'm talking stupid , ***** it Noon Cat Nick %^D
