My daughter |
Every time we talk she seems too concerned about my health. About three
weeks ago one of her close friends' dad died. And it only made her more
concerned. When she visited, went to my ex to ask her how really I was,
because she said that I hide my health problems to her. Now, I reckon she
will not do the same, because she doesn't like the idea that I make up
things with my ex. She doesn't hold resentments for what my ex did, but she
thinks my ex will never recover and will keep giving me problems and
eventually to her as well. She will visit on December, let's see what
happens.

She is human. You seem to be like one of those alligator-monsters we see in
films.

I think it's normal for her to worry. You've always been there. It's
not until later on that we finally realize that our parents won't
always be there.
I still vividly remember the day I realized my parents were old.
About 8 years ago, I went to pick them up at the airport. I looked
and looked and looked.... until I finally realized that the two old
white-haired people standing over there were my folks.
Headspin.
It just shows how much she loves you, is all.

Oh, yea, she loves me a lot. But she is too insecure about my health, I
mean, more than normal. I know it is not clear what is "normal", but it is
*too* much. I guess in the time span of a year I show up how I am aging and
she sees clear changes, so she has already realized I won't always be there,
as you say. Later, I have been honest about how I am doing. I guess it is
better to be honest to her and that she knows how I am deteriorating, than a
sudden bad news that her dad just went away.
